How to get started
Step 1: Find a supplier
Use the Brighte Marketplace to review a personalised list of local vendors that can help you install your desired product.
Step 2: Get a quote
You can request quotes from multiple suppliers. So don't be afraid to shop around.
Step 3: Apply for finance
Once you’ve found your preferred supplier, let them know you would like to participate in the Home Energy Support Program and they will start the loan process on your behalf. Brighte will then contact you to apply for the interest-free loan.
That’s it! Once approved for finance, your chosen vendor will take care of the installation process for you.

What type of products can I purchase through the Home Energy Support Program?
From battery storage to electric heating & cooling systems; the Home Energy Support Program gives you a range of options to make your home more sustainable.
Solar systems (Category A)

What is the Home Energy Support rebate?
Eligible households approved under the Home Energy Support Program can access up to $5,000 in rebates and up to $10,000 in an interest-free loan. This means the total support available from the ACT Government is $15,000.
Eligible households may be able to receive:
- one rebate of 50% of the total installation price, up to a maximum rebate of $2,500, for rooftop solar, and
- one rebate of 50% of the total installation price, up to a maximum rebate of $2,500, for:
- reverse cycle heating and cooling
- hot water heat pumps
- electric stove tops
- ceiling insulation

Am I eligible for the Home Energy Support rebate?
Rebates are available if you meet the following requirements:
- Hold an Australian Government Pensioner Concession Card, a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card, or a Health Care Card
- Have an eligible property, that you own and occupy the home in which the product will be installed
- Have attended a free Home Energy Support workshop delivered by the ACT Government.
What do I need to apply for the Loan?
Finance is our bread and butter. We’ve made it easy for you to apply online (or over the phone). To apply, you’ll need to provide:
- Be 18 years or over and an Australian resident
- Have an Australian driver's licence, passport or Medicare card
- Provide your own email address and mobile number
What are the fees for the loan product?
Brighte has developed an exclusive product that is only accessible for Home Energy Support Program participants.
Below is the fee structure:
- 0% interest loan
- $0 establishment fee
- $0 weekly account keeping fee
- $0 introducer fee
