Scam call safety reminder
We’re sharing a quick reminder about phone scams.
We’ve received a report of a scam call where someone impersonated Brighte and attempted to request personal information. While this appears to be an isolated incident, it’s a good time to remind everyone how to stay safe.
What you can expect from Brighte
To reassure you:
- We will never ask for one-time passwords, PINs, or security codes. In limited situations (for example, if a payment fails), we may contact you about confirming or updating your payment method. If unsure, you can always hang up and call us back using our official contact details.
- There is no indication Brighte systems or customer data have been compromised.
If you receive a suspicious call
If someone claiming to be from Brighte asks for personal or financial information:
- Hang up immediately and don’t share any details.
- Contact us directly using our official contact channels.
If you think you may have shared information
If you’ve already provided details to someone on a call:
- Contact your bank immediately to secure your accounts.
- Monitor your accounts for any unusual activity.
- Reach out to Brighte Customer Support on 1300-274-448 so we can assist you.
You can also report the incident to official authorities, such as the police or government scam/fraud agencies (e.g., Scamwatch in Australia).
We take customer security and privacy seriously and will continue to monitor this closely.
