What You'll Do
- Architect and design distributed systems ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Implement modern engineering practices such as microservices, domain-driven design, and event-driven architecture.
- Oversee code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices through rigorous code reviews and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
- Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to improve delivery and system performance.
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams, including offshore and onshore resources.
- Develop and implement an Engineering Competency Matrix to set clear expectations and support career growth.
- Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Ensure timely delivery of business value through agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Operations) to align technical solutions with strategic goals.
- Manage IT operations including DevOps, application support, and security to maintain system integrity and compliance.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- You're a certified Scrum Master or equivalent Agile certification (preferred).
- Proven track record in software development management and solution architecture.
- Minimum 8+ years in engineering roles, with at least 3 years in leadership positions.
- Experience in building scalable systems and integrating multiple microservices.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS) and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated success in implementing engineering standards and improving delivery processes.
Technical Competencies
- Languages & Frameworks: PHP, .NET C#, Java, JavaScript (ReactJS, ReactNative), Python.
- Architecture & Design: Microservices, Event-Driven Design, Domain-Driven Design.
- Tools & Platforms: AWS, Docker, EventBridge, CircleCI, SonarCloud, Jira.
- Data & Integration: SQL, MySQL, MSSQL, Data Warehousing, API design (OpenAPI).
- Methodologies: Agile, CI/CD, Test Automation.
