What You'll Do
- Put your credit radar to work and assess applications with your underwriting superpowers, keeping risk in check and decisions sharp.
- Own the credit journey from verifying data to analysing reports and property searches, you’ll manage it all within your lending authority.
- Be the deal whisperer and provide recommendations to leadership on complex applications that need a savvy eye.
- Sniff out risk like a pro and help review credit and fraud risk with precision and confidence.
- Keep it clean and always ensure that every application ticks the compliance boxes and meets our high standards.
- Keep the engine running by managing daily credit workflows and make sure SLAs are met without breaking a sweat.
- Be the go-to person between sales and the applications team when things need a little extra attention.
- Champion smarter systems and help boost accuracy and speed through automation and contribute to shaping risk policies.
- Help support the Senior Manager of Credit & Lending Operations on exciting projects!
What You'll Bring
- You bring similar experience with credit within financial services
- You have lending delegation experience and exposure to stages of the credit approval process including customer engagement
- You bring an analytical mindset and confident in your decision-making skills
- You are keen to be challenged working in a fast paced and dynamic environment and can manage competing priorities without breaking a sweat
- Ability to identify opportunities with a focus on continuous improvement
- You collaborate with your direct and wider team and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of implications for working within a regulated environment
- You bring an understanding of relevant regulatory legislation under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act (2001) (ASIC Act), Competition and Consumer Act, The Anti-Money Laundering, and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act and Privacy Act; and National Consumer Credit Protection Act as well as Australian Privacy Principles
