Financial Accountant - 12 month contract
Full time, Max Term Contract — Sydney, NSW
What You'll Do
- Prepare financial accounts and ledger reconciliations for the company and trusts.
- Maintain general ledgers (NetSuite) in relation to new account set up.
- Review general ledger transaction to ensure correct classification and tax treatment.
- Process manual customer payment, asset sales to Trusts as required and process trust remittances.
- Perform reconciliations between Bank Statement and Loan Management System for Customer Collections and Vendor Disbursements.
- Identify and create new finance processes to improve efficiencies.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and provide support as needed.
What You'll Bring
- You bring a university degree in a related discipline and/or working towards a CPA or CA qualification
- You have 1+ years' experience in a similar role and have ideally worked in banking or financial services sector or Big 4 accounting firms desirable.
- You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and are driven to achieve business goals.
- You bring a sense of curiosity and are a team player who has the ability to engage across a broad range of internal stakeholders.
- You have enquiring mind and improving financial processes.
- Proficient Excel skills are essential to your success in this role
- NetSuite experience highly desirable.
