FAQs
What are some of the benefits of home electrification?
Home electrification offers several benefits. It may reduce energy costs, decrease your home's carbon footprint, and improve your home's comfort.
How and when is the NRMA Insurance customer offer applied?
Eligible NRMA Insurance customers receive $250 off an accepted quote under $15,000 or $500 off an accepted quote of $15,000 or more. The amount is applied once to the total accepted quote, not separately to each product.
The quote should clearly show the offer amount. Customers should compare the underlying quote with prices available from alternative suppliers and satisfy themselves that the total price represents value for them.
The NRMA Insurance customer offer may be accessed more than once, provided each use relates to a separate eligible transaction. For example, a customer who completes an eligible solar installation may subsequently access the offer again for a separate eligible transaction, such as a battery or EV charger installation, subject to the applicable offer terms at the time of each transaction.
What products and quotes qualify for the NRMA Insurance customer offer?
The offer applies only to the total accepted quote arranged through the designated NRMA Insurance customer offer pathway. Availability depends on location and vendor participation. Customers should confirm that the offer amount is shown on the quote before accepting it.
Who do I talk to if something goes wrong during or after installation?
Contact the vendor responsible for supplying or installing the relevant product. The vendor is responsible for complaints, defects, warranties and installation issues. You may also contact Brighte if you require assistance identifying or communicating with the vendor. NRMA Insurance is not a party to the supply or installation agreement and cannot resolve vendor disputes. This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
What checks does Brighte undertake on accredited vendors?
“Brighte accredited vendors” refers to vendors that have completed Brighte's internal assessment and onboarding process, are required to comply with Brighte's Vendor Code of Conduct, and hold the licences, insurance and relevant external industry accreditations applicable to their product category and program, such as NETCC or SAA accreditation where relevant.
Brighte also monitors applicable vendor credentials on an ongoing basis as part of its vendor management processes. You can request quotes from multiple vendors and compare them before making any commitment.
Is the offer available in my state or territory?
This offer is available in Australia only.
Availability depends on whether Brighte has accredited vendors servicing your location and supplying the product requested. Access to this webpage does not guarantee that a vendor, product or quote will be available.
What happens if I cannot be connected to three installers?
Brighte may introduce you to up to three accredited vendors, but the number available will depend on your location and the products requested. You are not required to accept a quote and may obtain quotes independently from other suppliers. If your postcode does not return any available vendors, please contact theBrighte team.
How can I ensure the quality of my purchases?
Before proceeding, customers should review the product specifications, warranties and expected performance and check the vendor's licences, qualifications, insurance and experience. Customers may also wish to obtain independent technical advice. Neither NRMA Insurance nor the availability of this customer offer guarantees the quality, safety, suitability or performance of a product or installation.
What payment options are available through Brighte?
Eligible customers may have access to Brighte payment options including the 0% Interest Payment Plan and Green Loan.
The availability of any Brighte finance product is subject to the applicable product terms, eligibility criteria and credit approval. Finance products are provided by Brighte and are separate from NRMA Insurance and the NRMA Insurance customer offer.
How can I apply for a payment plan?
Brighte may offer eligible customers the option to apply for a payment plan. Finance is optional and is provided by Brighte, not NRMA Insurance. Applications are subject to Brighte's credit approval criteria. Customers should review all applicable fees, repayments and terms and conditions and consider whether the arrangement is appropriate for them before applying.
Are there costs associated with Brighte's payment plans?
Yes, any applicable interest rates, fees, and charges will be provided during the application process and your selected vendor will be able to discuss these details with you.
What method of payment is available?
You can choose to pay in cash direct to the vendor, or you can apply for one of Brighte's optional payment plans.
Are government rebates available?
Government rebates and incentives may be available for some products and households. Eligibility requirements, amounts and availability can change. Customers should verify current information and their eligibility directly with the relevant government body before relying on a rebate or incentive. Neither NRMA Insurance, Brighte nor an accredited vendor can guarantee eligibility unless confirmed by the administering government body.
Can I share the offer with my landlord?
The offer is available only to eligible NRMA Insurance customers. An eligible customer who rents a property may discuss a proposed upgrade with their landlord, but the customer must obtain all necessary property-owner approvals. The offer cannot otherwise be transferred to a landlord or another person unless Brighte expressly agrees.
