- Brighte invites communities to partner on suburb wide electric projects
Brighte, Australia's leading platform for home energy solutions, has welcomed the announcement ARENA will consider funding more suburb wide electrification trials across Australia and highlighted its readiness to support communities in their transition to all electric homes.
"This initiative aligns perfectly with Brighte's mission to make sustainability affordable and accessible to all Australians," said Katherine McConnell, Founder and CEO of Brighte. "Many communities around the country have the ambition and passion to electrify and Brighte has the experience, platform and local installers to make it happen for them.”
Brighte's "one stop shop" platform is currently being used to deliver the “Electrify 2515 Community Pilot”, a suburb wide trial to electrify 500 homes in the 2515 postcode, in partnership with Rewiring Australia and Endeavour Energy. The project has already received more than 400 applications from local residents.
As program administrator for Electrify 2515, Brighte provides to the local community:
A simple, digital platform to apply for the program
Access to an extensive network of accredited local installers
Tailored and customised advice by sustainability experts
Seamless processing of government incentives and rebates
Flexible finance options for eligible households that want it
Brighte also has proven experience managing major government schemes including the $355m ACT Sustainable Household Scheme and the $50m Tasmania Energy Saver Loan Scheme.
"Our platform is specifically designed to simplify the electrification journey for both communities and individual households," McConnell added. "With our extensive experience working with ARENA, we can also support community groups through the funding application process. We encourage interested communities across Australia to contact us about how we can best support their electrification goals."
