Brighte and Commonwealth bank team up to electrify Australian homes

24 June 2025

Brighte, Australia's leading platform for consumer energy resources, has worked with Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank) to launch access to a digital marketplace powering CommBank's new Home Energy Upgrades service.

The partnership helps connect CommBank customers with qualified local providers for solar, batteries, and other home energy solutions, combining Brighte's nationwide network of accredited consumer energy resource (CER) retailers with CommBank's low-interest financing options.

"This partnership is a significant milestone that can make home electrification accessible to more Australians," said Katherine McConnell, Founder and CEO of Brighte. "By combining CommBank's trusted financial products with Brighte's nationwide network of accredited CER retailers, we're making it faster and simpler for homeowners to embrace more energy efficient solutions.”

"Brighte offers our enterprise partners a proven, scalable solution that delivers real impact, and we’re excited to have CommBank join us on this journey. We see this as another important step forward in our mission of making consumer energy resources more affordable and accessible to everyone."

Joel Larsen, General Manager at Commonwealth Bank, said: "Homeowners are looking for smarter ways to upgrade their home energy solutions, and we're already seeing strong demand for solar and battery bundles. Our new Home Energy Upgrades service makes it easier for customers to access trusted local providers and explore tailored solutions for their homes. We're delighted to team up with Brighte to make this happen."

For Brighte accredited retailers, the partnership offers exclusive access to high-quality customer leads through Brighte's platform, while customers gain confidence knowing they're working with pre-vetted, qualified professionals.

"Our accredited retailers are at the heart of what we do," added McConnell. "By working with Brighte, they gain access to market-leading programs and enterprise partnerships that drive growth and deliver value. This partnership with CommBank is another example of how we’re creating opportunities for our retailer network to thrive and we will have further exciting opportunities on the horizon."

The partnership builds on Brighte's successful programs with the ACT and Tasmanian governments, as well as the Electrify2515 Community Pilot, reinforcing its position as the leading platform for large-scale home energy initiatives. Brighte's turnkey solution enables rapid deployment of home electrification programs, connecting partners to Australia's largest network of accredited CER retailers, flexible finance offerings and trusted advice.
