2024 unwrapped here’s what lit us up

2024 was all about pushing boundaries, building connections, and lighting the path to a cleaner, greener future.

🧮 Quick numbers

With our network of over 2,600+ tradies, and working with Government, we're helping make sustainability affordable and accessible for everyone.

  • 1,400,000 metric tonness of C02e emissions prevented each year
  • 2,200 GWh clean energy generated by our customers each year
  • 150,000 solar installations financed by Brighte
  • $200m ACT Sustainable Household Scheme
  • $50m TAS Energy Saver Loan Scheme
Electrify 2515 community pilot participants and pilot implementors.

🌱 Driving sustainability, powered by community

  • Electrify 2515 Pilot launch: We teamed up with Rewiring Australia and Endeavour Energy to deliver Australia’s first community-led electrification project, supported by ARENA.*
  • For the launch event over 600 locals showed up to learn how to electrify their homes proof that communities are ready to lead the way. Phase 1 is in progress and will run until April 2024, covering 60 homes. Phase 2, involving 440 homes, will begin rolling out from August 2025.

🌟 Empowering women in energy

  • Brighte Pathways Scholarships: We’re proud to champion women in trades with our Women in Sustainable Energy Scholarships. From closing the gender gap to training future electricians, this program is changing lives - and Australia’s energy future.
  • Continued to amplify voices for clean energy solutions, including featuring scholarship winners like Chey Sullivan on ABC Radio.

🏆 Celebrating the wins

  • Finder’s Green Lender of the Year (for the 5th time): Recognised once again for making sustainable home upgrades affordable and accessible for more Aussies.
  • AFR Sustainability Leaders award: Honoured as the category winner in Banking, Super & Financial Services for our impactful collaborations.

🤝 Stronger together: partnerships that shine

  • Delivered sustainability programs for our new partners, evee, OVO Energy, and Cogo. Through our platform, we make electrification easier and more accessible for Aussie households.
  • The ACT Government’s Sustainable Household Scheme continues to go from strength-to-strength reaching over 20,000 upgrades and north of $225 million financed to date.

💡 Leadership and growth

  • Welcomed two incredible leaders, Melinda Snowden and David Parfett, to our board. Their expertise is already shaping our next chapter.
  • Completed our 5th public debt transaction at $195 million.

🤝 A year of connection

In 2024, Brighte was front and center at 15+ major events, engaging with thousands to drive sustainability and innovation.

  • Katherine McConnell spoke at 6 high-profile events, including Forbes Women, SXSW Sydney, and Intersekt Fintech Festival.
  • Brighte attended 9 industry expos and conferences, connecting with partners and customers on solar, energy efficiency, and finance solutions.

Reflecting on 2024, we’re blown away by the passion and determination of our team, our partners, and our communities. Together, we’ve taken bold steps toward a more sustainable Australia - and this is just the beginning.
