Thinking about a Home Energy Saver Loan through Brighte?

Eligibility criteria — what you need to know

04 June 2026

Here’s a quick guide to who can apply and the documents we’ll need to confirm your eligibility.

Am I eligible?

You may be eligible if:

  • Your household’s total taxable income does not exceed $210,000 per year.
  • The property is located in NSW.
  • You own the property — as an owner-occupier or a landlord.
  • You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • The property is not social housing and is not used for short-stay accommodation.
  • You meet our credit assessment requirements.
  • The loan is available across NSW and is subject to Brighte approval.

Documents you'll need

We use your documents for two things: confirming your household income eligibility (must be under $210,000/year) and verifying your income as part of our credit assessment. Find your situation below to see what to have ready.

If you're PAYG / employed

  • A recent payslip showing year-to-date earnings, dated within the last 90 days
  • ATO Notice of Assessment, or non-lodgement advice if you're not required to lodge a tax return

If you're self-employed

  • A recent ATO Notice of Assessment or Tax Return

If you're a pensioner

  • A copy of your Pensioner Concession Card
  • A recent pension statement, or bank statements dated within the last 90 days

If you're retired

  • A recent superannuation statement, dated within the last 90 days

All applications are subject to Brighte’s approval and credit assessment requirements.
