Did you ever want to know what is it like to be a founder? Brighte’s founder and CEO, Katherine McConnell stars in the four-part ‘Founder’ documentary series launching today, 1st August, on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Google Play.
'Founder' showcases the stories of some of Australia’s most successful tech innovators, giving viewers an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look into the lives of visionary founders who dared to dream big and challenge the status quo.
Featuring Canva’s Melanie Perkins, SafetyCulture’s Luke Anear, Brighte's Katherine McConnell and Fred Schebesta from Finder, the highly anticipated series dedicates an episode to each founder's journey.
For Brighte’s story, Katherine started Brighte at a time when renewable energy was still a niche market, she saw an untapped opportunity to make sustainability affordable and accessible for everyone. This episode explores how she started Brighte, and her honest take on if following your gut instinct is actually worth the risk.
To celebrate the launch we hosted a premiere screening of the Brighte episode, inviting the Brighte team, friends, supporters and partners. And of course, there was popcorn, choc-tops and a media wall for the premiere!
Following the screening we hosted a Q&A with Katherine, SafetyCulture’s Luke Anear, Blackbird’s Rick Baker and Brighte’s first advocate, Peter McConnell - talking about what drives a founder, how Brighte’s journey has evolved, and Brighte's opportunity to help more Australian's electrify their homes and workplaces with sustainable upgrades.
All episodes of Founder will be available to rent on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Google Play from 1st August.
