Ramping Up Activities: A Year of Innovation and Unity
Over the past year, our team has been laser-focused on innovation and creativity. We've transformed ideas into reality, showcasing our commitment to excellence and sustainable growth. Each member has played a pivotal role, embodying Brighte's five values.
To ensure we had a steady drumbeat of team activity to help facilitate collaboration, we’ve introduced a series of events throughout the year that is run by the People & Culture team; Brighte Meets, Brighte Beats and Brighte Competes.
Our First Offsite: Brighte Meets
Our quarterly gatherings, 'Brighte Meets', have been pivotal for strategic alignment and nurturing our culture. However, it was our inaugural offsite event in September last year that truly underscored our collective spirit, it was truly a standout moment of the year.
Venturing to Canberra, we embarked on three days filled with team-building exercises and an awards ceremony to honour our core values champions. This offsite proved to be more than an outing; it was a transformative journey that enhanced our cohesiveness and commitment to a positive, dynamic work environment.
Monthly Team-Driven Get Downs: Brighte Beats
Understanding the value of regular team bonding, we launched "Brighte Beats," a monthly initiative where each department across the business has the opportunity to lead proceedings. From themed lunches to creative workshops, this series has showcased our team's diverse talents and reinforced the unity at the heart of Brighte. Since each department gets to host the events things can get a little competitive - which we all love!
Not to be Forgotten: Brighte Competes
Amidst our achievements, we've also demonstrated our versatility and teamwork outside the office. Our touch football team competes in an inter-office competition each Tuesday and we even pulled together a group to participate in the City2Surf.
We finished out 2023 with a table tennis knockout competition, with the winners being honoured with a trophy and personalised bats!
This year, we aspire to elevate our company culture to new heights, foster even stronger connections, and continue pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together.
