Your Mission: 🌏
We want to make every home sustainable, and we’re doing that by eliminating the biggest barrier to household renewable energy solutions, the price! The engineers at Brighte work together to build platforms, applications & features to break down the pain around applying for loans, managing repayments & creating a seamless experience for the customer, while they do their part to help the planet!
We want to maintain our lofty standards by bringing on board someone who’ll lift other engineers up to a higher level through guidance, mentoring and coaching. Through contributing to our creative environment, we build collaborative where help is readily available and no question is a bad question. Our engineering managers are excellent at enabling senior engineers, and we want you to pass that down the line.
We’re a team that values quality over quantity and we want you to drive that, bringing in your previous experience to help attack problems from a whole new perspective. This’ll require you to flex your problem-solving muscles, along with collaborating with different business units to provide the best solution possible.
What You Bring: 💭
One of our core values is ‘Deserve the Customer’, so a customer first attitude is paramount for us and as a tech team, we need to embrace that as much as anyone. From a technical perspective, there are a few things we do that we think have been pillars in our success as a tech team. We build robust and scalable systems; we champion Test Driven Design, and we push for the absolute best practices and standards across the scale-up landscape. If you think you can contribute to all those points, that’s a huge tick for us.
Our tech stack is predominantly:
- Typescript, React, Node & GraphQL
- Some legacy PHP that is actively being replaced
- Hosted on AWS where we leverage RDS, ECS, Lambda, SQS, and EventBridge
As a Senior Engineer, we envision you guiding and leading the teams technically, and doing this without experience in the above technologies would be too much to ask, so we’re looking for some quality experience in any of the above tech. This is a full stack role, so experience wrangling API’s in the backend as well as building beautifully working structure in the frontend will be super useful!
