As a Commercial Credit Underwriter in the Operations team, you will be responsible for evaluating financial information and risks, as well as making decisions on loan grants for unsecured commercial credit applications.
You will also assist with vendor accreditations where required.
In this role, you will work closely with and support the Head of Credit Operations and/or Senior Credit Manager on projects and ad hoc matters.
Along with your fellow Underwriters, you will collaborate with the wider team including: Customer Service, Settlements, Sales, Finance etc to ensure quality, speed and accuracy is maintained.
Who You Are
You already have a few years under your belt in in finance, banking, settlements or collections, with some commercial exposure. With a risk thinking mindset when looking at financials and business structures.

What You Will Do
You will assess Commercial credit applications in accordance with company policies and the commercial risk environment.
You'll manage all aspects of the Commercial underwriting process - verify application data, analyse credit reports, research businesses and property, financial analysis.
Assess and review credit and fraud risk of vendors applying for accreditation.
You will be the primary point of escalation between sales management and the credit department.
