Data Analyst

What you'll do

  • Implement and manage an SQL environment to store financial transactions from Brighte’s core loan system finPower, general ledger, Zendesk, Genysis purecloud and other relational data sets.
  • Implement control mechanisms to ensure accuracy and reliability of data sets and algorithms so that there is ‘one version of the truth’ for Brighte financial data.
  • Create reliable and easy-to-use excel based models for complex calculations required for budgets and profitability analysis.
  • Create tables, reports and data visualization that tell a story and make it easy for the reader to interpret key messages
  • Prepare tableau and other reports that automate and standardise reporting.
  • Provide insights into material trends of financial metrics and variances to budget
  • Strong involvement in the assessment, implementation and management of a new general ledger system.
  • Own the methodology and tracking of unit economic performance and drivers to ensure Brighte maintains it profitability
  • Undertake deep dives into topical issues to provide insight into material trends or initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget and in particular driver-based assumptions · Areas of data ownership include:
  • Financial management, cash forecasting and general ledger
  • Balance sheet maturity profile, prepayments and average expected term
  • Credit portfolio metrics including concentration, risk profile and loss metrics
  • Operational performance metrics including handling time, productivity and customer activity.
  • Work alongside a talented ‘virtual’ team of cross functional data-scientists led by Brighte’s technology function
  • Who you are

  • Minimum 3-5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Exception SQL, Tableau and Excel · Exceptional data visualization skills
  • Banking, financial services or energy sector preferred.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and ability to engage across a broad range of internal stakeholders.
  • Known for having an enquiring mind and improving financial processes.
