Portfolio Risk and Process Manager

Whats you'll do

  • Responsible for preparing and analysing reports on key credit risk metrics including.
  • scorecards, concentrations, and stratifications of the loan portfolios.
  • Design, implement and test changes to credit risk decisioning engines.
  • Working closely with Brighte’s Corporate Development team, assist in the origination and oversight of Brighte’s debt and equity program.
  • Working closely with the Head of Credit, research and draft recommendations for the Credit
  • Committee, Board or external funders in respect of proposed changes Credit Policy and/or practices.
  • Provide early warning signals on adverse exposure levels and deteriorating conditions.
  • Undertake research and modelling to benchmark Brighte’s portfolio against industry participants.
  • Work closely with the product and marketing teams to optimize the customer and vendor application process, improving speed, competitiveness, customer experience and reducing risk.
  • Working closely with Brighte’s product team, monitor the customer and vendor funnel from application to approval and diagnose deteriorating trends across application dropouts, withdrawals and approval.
  • Who you are?

  • Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Deep industry experience in banking and financial services
  • Previous experience in process in process improvement/Automation
  • Exceptional Data analytic and Excel skills
  • Exceptional data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau)
  • Previous experience with SQL highly regarded
  • Highly motivated and capable to grow and expand in the role in accordance with business growth and expansion.
  • Analytical mindset that evaluates data and translates to commercial outcomes.
  • Conveys complex thoughts and processes clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and ability to engage across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Known for having an inquiring mind and executes on continuous process improvement.
  • A team player who thrives in a changing environment
  • Considers the control environment and its impact on the business.
  • Highly driven to achieve and exceed business goals.
  • Demonstrates Brighte’s values National Consumer Credit Protection Act as well as Australian Privacy Principles and the new BNPL code.
  • Strong Computer skills, ideally with experience in FinPower
